Dominique & Tony: A Garden Wedding at Strong Mansion

When I first met Dominique I knew right away her and Tony’s wedding would be out of this world. A beautiful girl from a large Greek family marrying a fabulous local chef — this was going to be one culinary feast of a party! And it was. The couple got married at Strong Mansion up at Sugarloaf, Maryland. Cocktail hour featured charcuterie from a local purveyor and a signature cocktail from one of DC’s best mixologists — all around a beautiful garden setting. An impressive dessert table awaited guests later in the evening, designed by one of the area’s top bakers. The deejay played a skillful mix of Greek music, old classics, and contemporary hits and everyone had a great time late into the night. It was an incredible day!

Sarah and Branon: A Beautiful Wedding at the Mayflower

Recently, I had the privilege of working with Sara and Branon, a fun young professional couple in DC, on their wedding. The two were a joy to work with and we had a lot of fun pulling the various elements of the event together. From the rehearsal dinner and welcome reception, to the ceremony, reception, and after-party — each part of the weekend was designed to extend gracious hospitality to their family and friends. And it was a blast to boot!

Ashley & Ben were such an incredible couple to work with. Both UNC grads, the couple worked in personal touches throughout their wedding and created a fun, beautiful experience for their guests. Preview of Camilla and Richard’s Wedding

This past weekend was Camilla and Richard’s wedding which took place at St Catherine of Siena Church and the Halcyon House. The bride looked absolutely stunning and it was such a beautiful, fun day!

Cocktail hour featured music by Euphonism, a local a cappella group, that was amazing. Flowers were done by Holly Heider Chapple who did a nice wrap up on her blog of the flowers from the wedding. (Scroll midway down.)

On Saturday, I worked with Red Shoes Photography on Amy & Justin’s wedding which took place at Redeemer Arlington and Clarendon Ballroom. The couple could not have been more glowing and the photos reflect the sweet ceremony and the energy of the beautiful reception. Alison from Red Shoes put together a preview of the photos. Katherine & Allen: An Elegant Evening Garden Party

I had a wonderful time working with Katherine and Allen on their wedding. One of the things I loved about the process was watching how they interacted with one another. It was so evident that each, in a beautiful way, brought something out of the other that no one else could. They lit up around each other and had fun together.

Their wedding was a great reflection of them — fun, elegant, and natural. It took place at Rust Manor in Leesburg and was captured in these gorgeous photographs by the talented Leah of Studio Juno.

The cocktail hour was set on the garden lawn accompanied by music from an acoustic guitarist. In the tent, the female guests were treated to pashminas to cut the evening chill. Beautifully packaged Haribou gummy bears — the bride and groom’s favorite — were given as favors. Vintage milk glass arrangements warmed each table and reflected a spectrum of pinks in keeping with the pink and grey-themed event.

Whitney & Matt: Dancing the Night Away at the Corcoran

Whitney and Matt are such an amazing couple — fun-loving, spirited, and so kind to each other. It was a pleasure working with them as they planned their wedding at the Corcoran at the end of last year. Both the ceremony and the reception took place there, and a fabulous team of vendors transformed the space into an elegant, sophisticated and festive experience for guests.

The bride, who looked absolutely gorgeous, surprised her groom with a hot dog cart at the very end of the evening — something he had said he wanted all throughout the planning. She kept it a secret and the expression on his face was priceless when the cart was rolled out!

Congratulations to a beautiful couple!
